With over 2 million euros already invested in marketing and advertisement campaigns for 2011, and another 4 million projected for 2012, Delverde aims to widen its target demographic through the use of new online tools like Facebook, and through efforts to associate the brand with big sporting events. Delverde has forged a strong relationship with sport in the last few years, as the right diet is crucial to performance. Andrea Baldini, fencing; Tania Cagnotto, diving; Simone Collio, track and field; Simone Parodi, volleyball; Alessandra Sensini, windsurfing – this is Team Delverde. These are the athletes representing Italy at the next international competitions. They will be the spokespersons for the pasta from Fara San Martino in the rest of the world. In addition to this, Delverde will continue to sponsor the Italian football club Fiorentina this season, and will remain a technical adviser to the cycling Liquigas Cannondale.
